Having a baby should be a positive experience, so our main focus is to facilitate a safe and comfortable environment for you to bring your baby into the world and begin bonding immediately. We provide ways to help ease the stress and pain of labor using breathing techniques, Scriptural affirmations, comfort measures and positions to get through the intensity of contractions while providing encouraging support to your partner. Our goal is to help both parents (partners) feel a genuine sense of accomplishment, bonding, and relief!
Our job isn’t done once birth is over. We will stay in close contact with you after your birth and visit you to provide non-medical support to the family after the birth of your baby, focused on the wellbeing of the mother, and the baby. We provide families with information on the mother's emotional well-being and physical recovery from childbirth, mom/infant care routine development, meal preparation, infant soothing, support on infant feeding, light-housekeeping, and coping skills for new parents.
Our Childbirth Education Classes are to help build your confidence in your body's ability to give birth. Our Approach is a Scriptural-based View of Labor & Birth, Interventions, Comfort Measures, Postpartum Preparation and Breastfeeding. We are appreciative to announce that we are affiliates with Childbirth Education Programs that offer 10% off discount for each client that chooses to enroll in their classes.

In 2016, I went through a life changing experience during the birth of my little sister, my parent’s 6th child. It was the first birth I’d ever seen in person and although I was young I was able to be as close and involved as a doula would’ve been. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen or experienced in the world and I was surprised by the passion and emotion I felt as I watched and helped my mother to breathe. After that birth, I really fell in love with childbirth and pregnancy. With a mother that has served as a doula for over 11 years, along with having over 10 children herself I have been blessed to experience pregnancy and birth in its many varying facetes. I began to seek out the ways I could get involved in the birth community, learning about all of the differing avenues available to me. Along with that my eyes were opened to the struggles for black mothers, with the maternal mortality rates rising dramatically over short periods of time, and the insufficient care of the mother along with unnecessary trauma, and lack of accurate and effective education amongst new mothers and fathers. As I began to research these issues I realized just how much doulas can truly make a difference in procuring healthy birth and postpartum outcomes. I realized that birthing women need to feel supported and valued, they need to feel heard and comforted. They need to know what is happening with their bodies and babies. I was overwhelmed with the desire to help solve these problems and give these mothers the birth experience and support they were meant to have. I have been so fortunate to have the Father’s hand upon me as I learn and grow, and I rely on Him for every step I take. The joy that supporting a mother as she brings forth her child into the world is unlike anything else in the world. I want to be apart of the change in the dilapidated birth system and I want to show women that they can have the wonderful birth experience they hope for, and that birth is normal until proven otherwise. I hope to be of service to you.
Long before I began doula work in 2013, I had a heart for the pregnant mother. It began in my childhood being the first born grandchild, I was at the foot of the onslaught of new cousins as well as siblings that were shortly to follow. Observing family and friends, during their pregnancies, seeing that each expectant mother had their own unique style and experience during pregnancy and caring for their new baby, it intrigued me. I knew I wanted to know more and be apart of helping them through that journey. Once in high school, I shared with my guidance counselor my hope of one day becoming a midwife. She advised, that I take parenting class they offered. It was an elective that helped me to learn more about pregnancy and childbirth and what it would be like to care for an infant. Later in the semester, they sent each of us students, home with the parenting simulator dolls to get a taste of what a new parent would experience with their newborn. I was thrilled! After that class I was sure, I wanted to serve expectant mothers and their families in birth and postpartum work. But it would be a few more years loaded with life experiences and opportunities before my time to serve would be brought to light. The time had come for me to pursue this passion after birthing 4 of my own children, with 1 of 3 traumatic birth experiences under my belt, and attending a viewing and discussion of the documentary "The Business of Being Born". It opened my eyes and helped me to see there is not just a purpose for birth workers but a necessity. I began seeking seasoned birth professionals for wisdom and mentorship, and attending trainings and conferences to equip myself to be a support and coach to my fellow womb-mates. I was ready to equip women with empowering information and support, that would in my greatest hopes leave them feeling heard, encouraged, and fulfilled. I never thought nor planned in a million years I would have had so many of my own unique experiences, 10 to be exact! But, it has only expanded my passion to serve the pregnant and postpartum mama and her family in helping them to achieve their vision.
When I am not serving expectant mothers and their families, I'm homeschooling, homesteading, hanging with my family, serving in the community, or helping someone find a home to live out their own story!
Ahba willing, I look forward to serving you.
We aspire to bring hope, joy, and comfort to each family we serve and give Our Heavenly Father Glory as we do so.
